Police Administration

Mount Carmel Police Department

Welcome to the City of Mount Carmel Police Department! Whether you are a resident, business owner, officer candidate, or just taking a look at our department, I hope you find our website helpful.

Our department consist of 21 dedicated officers and civilian personnel.  The department is broken down into several specialty positions which include Administrative Staff, Criminal Investigations, Juvenile Officer Division, K-9 Unit, School Resource Officer, and Patrol Division.

We are involved in Mutual Aid partnerships with Wabash Count Sheriff's office and other area law enforcement agencies. We are committed to these partnerships because they help us provide the best, most efficient, and professional service to our community.

We believe strongly in the good people of our community. We are involved in several volunteer projects throughout the area. If there is a project you would like us to participate in, please contact me Police Chief Ryan Turner through our administrative phone number (618) 262-4433 to discuss the project.

Should you need a police officer for any reason, please call 911. Some people are reluctant to call 911 not wanting to bother emergency personnel for simple service calls. We do not view our callers as a bother. If it is of concern to you, please let us know. Remember, crime prevention is everyone’s responsibility.
