You can also take the family for a picnic at either the Lions Club City Park or Lincoln Park, with its great children’s play areas, or Froman Park, where you can enjoy the shade of lush trees, or maybe even catch a baseball game, played at the adjacent Dee White Memorial Field.

Lions Club City Park is located at 700 Park Road.

Lincoln Park is located at the corner of South Cherry Street and McDowell Street.

Froman Park is located at the corner of Park Road and 1550 Blvd.

Mount Carmel's Lions Club Park

The Mount Carmel Lions Club was chartered September 9, 1952. Its list of members was composed of some of the city’s most progressive individuals and included Dr. D.R. Tombaugh, John Costa, John Dersch, and Robert Mobley. Dr. Tombaugh is an advisor to the club and a lifetime member. Mount Carmel Lions Club is a chapter of Lions Club International. Their motto, “We Serve.”

Their programs include sight, hearing, speech conservation, and support of our local community to improve the quality of life of our citizens.

Some of their largest projects include land acquisition and development for Mount Carmel City Park.

The Lion's Club also worked to secure  $150,000 in grants and fundraisers for development of the county's Froman Park and Lake Froman and continued improvement and upkeep of the county park.
