Liquor License

  • No person shall either sell at retail or have in his possession for sale, or offer for sale at retail, alcoholic liquor within the corporate limits of the city without first having obtained a license so to do.
  • The mayor shall be the liquor control commissioner for the city and shall be charged with the administration within the city of the laws of the state as they relate to liquor licenses within the city, and with the provisions of this Code and other ordinances of the city related to liquor.
  • state liquor license must be provided within 60 days of making application to the city for a liquor license.
  • All licenses shall be posted in a conspicuous place on the licensed premises.
  • Licenses expire December 31 each calendar year. 
  • Renewals are considered for approval at the last council meeting each year.
